A November New York Packing Wish List

new york packing list

So. It turns out that I’ve had a trip to New York booked since January this year! Unbeknownst to me. Though for good reason I might add.

My wonderful amazing husband surprised me a few weeks ago on the morning of my 40th birthday, with tickets for a four night trip to New York, and a night on Broadway to see Wicked – The Musical, which is something I’ve wanted to see for years.

To say I’m surprised and over the moon is a bit of an understatement to say the least.

I keep saying to Mikey that I can’t wait until next week when just the two of us take the eight or so hour flight, to the amazing city, when he says he’s been waiting for this for nearly a year! Ok I understand.

I got the feeling he was going to whisk me away somewhere, but I never even imagined it would be New York!

So, whilst we are swanning around Broadway, Madison and 5th Avenue, taking in the sights and wandering hand in hand around Central Park, my wonderful parents will move into our house for the long weekend to look after the girls. Though Mum has already asked for lessons on how to use the new cookers, hob and all the other gadgets and gizmos we now have in the new kitchen.

So, along with trying to plan all the things we need to cram in, in the time we are there (for which any hints, tips and ideas are most welcome!) I am also thinking about what I should pack for the trip.

So far I’m thinking comfort! But stylish comfort.

I’m looking at a few items which I can both mix and match, and dress up and down depending on where we are off to.

Here are just a few of the items I’m hoping to be taking with me….

New York Packing Wish List 2

Well, if I had all these I’d be a very happy girl indeed and probably in a lot of trouble from my husband who’s already just spent rather a lot on me for my birthday, but I have managed to cross a few off my list, and you never know, some of these stores may very well be in New York, so perhaps I’ll just have to pay them a visit!

Here’s where you can grab them if anything takes your fancy too:

Star Top : Mint Velvet  |  Trainers, Blush Jumper, Grey Coat, Black Buckle Boots, Joggers, Leather Skirt : Next

Black Heeled Boots, Print Scarf, Star Sweater, Long Black Dress, Jeans, Star Pendant : Hush

Grey Jumper, Grey Pleat Skirt, Frilled Blouse : H&M  |  Shoulder Bag, Micellar Water : & Other Stories

Stripe Top, Bobble Hat : Joules  |  Gloves : Accessorize  |  Weekend Bag : Longchamp
