My Captured Moment – Woodland Walk

My Captured Moment today was taken whilst on an impromptu, but beautiful woodland walk in some woods nearby to our house.

I love just suddenly deciding to chuck on your shoes, or your wellies, depending on the day, and going out; exploring the local area and the countryside and getting a good dose of fresh air.

Luckily for us this was a beautifully sunny day. The sky was blue and the air was warm.

We wandered around the woodland and let Holly tell us which way to go by following the various arrows on the posts dotted around the pathways.

We played eye-spy as we trundled along and looked out for acorns, birds, funny looking sticks and other fun things we could find.

As the wood became thicker I remember as Holly walked a little bit closer to us, held back from running off into the distance as she usually does, and told us she was scared of bears!

I must admit, when the trees became a lot more dense, even I clung to Mikey a little more too!

Then, as we neared the car park ready to go home agin, we came across a clearing with this beautifully old and vast tree.  Damaged by storms it had now canopy and was just the stump complete with its larger broad and winding branches.

Perfect for a photo I thought. So we popped Holly up onto one of the branches for a teensy photo shoot!

She wasn’t really very impressed at all.  After the novelty wore off, and  only a couple of photos it was time to come back down again.  But at least I managed this shot before we all drove home again after our pretty perfect woodland walk.

I love taking photos of the kids in trees. That is one huge tree, you could even fit all my lot up there lol. This is a lovely photo, even if she wasn’t that impressed with being there 😀 #mycapturedmoment
