I love this picture of Holly. Alone in amongst the wildflowers.
It was captured in the grounds of HIghclere Castle, famed for being the film location of the much acclaimed TV series, Downton Abbey.
We love just down the road from it, and when they held a festival of celebration for the the centenary of The Great War (read here if you want to see more).
It was such a fabulous and special day.
The four of us were there along with my parents and my sisters family, so it was lovely for Holly to play in the grounds and out in the warm sunshine with her older cousins, whom she looks up to and admires so much.
Ella was still rather little, so I think she was napping whilst this was taken, which in hindsight I’m rather thankful for, as I am sure we’d have lost her in amongst the wildflowers too.
It is truly stunning in the summertime here at Highclere Castle.
The grounds are vast and immaculate and breathtaking. I just loved the way there was this whole areas dedicated to wildflowers, full of beauty and nature.
And for those few minutes…. full of Holly and her cousins too!
