So this is me linking to the sparkly brand new ‘My Captured Moment’ by the very lovely Heledd at Running In Lavender.
So I’m going to kick start it with a biggy!
For me anyway!
That’s what attracted me to Heledd’s ‘My Captured Moment’ idea – as these are memories which are personal to each of us. So even though the picture isn’t pristine perfect, it’s a bit blurry, one child is rushing off in the distance, or even not looking at the camera etc, it doesn’t matter, because to us it means the world.
So, anyway – this is one of my all time favourite and fondest of moments which to me, are all ove the above! This is my ‘captured moment’!
And it’s so important in fact, that I do plan to write a post around it at a later date (so you’ll probably get to read it in 2018 when I get my blogging act in order!!)
The photograph was taken by my husband in March 2011, on the top of the stunningly beautiful Tintagel Castle in Cornwall, whilst I was sat bottle feeding my little girl. H was only 6 months old at the time, and it was our first holiday away as a family of three.
Although it was early March, the weather could not have been more perfect. The sun was shining and was warm on our backs, as we hiked up and down the uneven cliffside steps and over to the historical ruins of a castle steeped in myth and mystery of the legendary King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table.
What made this all the more magical for us was that we had arrived at Tintagel Castle out of season, and very early on in the day, and as a result there was absolutely no-one else there! For a good few hours!! It was just the three of us sat atop the quiet and peaceful island, just gazing out at the beautiful views of the ragged cliffs and listening to the waves of the blue seas below.
It could not have been more perfect.
More to follow on a further post…
