Alphabet Project – I is for illegal!!

Ok, ok – I told a bit of a porkie pie – so it wasn’t technically  illegal as we bought the ticket on H’s behalf at the horse races but it was Little H who picked the horse, so without her input we wouldn’t have made the whopping £12.40 which you see in the photo.

At the time, H was only really confident with two numbers.. the number 2, and the number 4.

So it was pretty much going to be 50/50 as to which horse we’d be betting on!  In every race!!!

At least we had a winner in one of them eh!

I think her way of picking horses is much like her mummies –

‘ooh – look at how pretty that horse is!’

and

‘Ooh – look at the lovely hat colour the jockey is wearing!!’

Mr B despairs at this!! Stood there with his racegoers handbook and betting odds etc etc!!

H and I have a very technical way of choosing huh!!!!

We had a lovely day just the four of us, as each year at Newbury Racecourse they hold a family race day, where you can go on pony rides, on fairground rides, and just enjoy a lovely day out with your family.

It’s just a different day out to spend with the girls and they love it!

The next family day being held at Newbury Racecourse is Sunday 3rd August — if you’re heading that way – look me up

xx

I’m linking up with the lovely Charly over at PODcast Dove for the wonderful weekly Alphabet Project #alphabetphoto

Hehe that’s absolutely brilliant! Such an awesome photo too, she looks SO chuffed! Much to my husband’s dismay I had 3 wins at the races a few years back. Just picked the names I liked, no strategy to it at all! Such good fun too! Thanks for sharing with #alphabetphoto

I would choose based on the nicest names 🙂 I’ve only ever been to greyhound racing and that’s how I chose which dogs to bet on… I was reasonably successful, although not enough to get me to go back 🙂 #alphabetphoto

Unfortunately now – her numbers are pretty good, so It’ll be interesting to see what she goes for this time!! I’m not sure I’d place a bet on us going home with any winnings though!!
