Sleep Tight Baby Girl – My Captured Moment #2

Recently I will admit to being a bit naughty and cheating in my task as a mum.  I sometimes let my darling H doze off in my bed next to me.

I hold her hand and just gaze at her as her eyes close sleepily and as she drifts off into the land of nod.  I watch her little eyelids as they flicker when she dreams.

The other night, whilst doing this, a few words popped into my mind – so I just had to jot them down.

And here they are….

Sleep Tight - My Precious Moment

So, Sleep Tight Baby Girl

    Beautiful words… and picture!

There’s nothing quite like cuddling up with your little ones while they snooze.

Thanks Jenna – I must admit it was all a bit gushy – and not very ‘me’ to come out with those sentences, but it was obviously how I was thinking at the time. Like a right wet lettuce!! Hahahaha. Thanks so much lovely. xxx

Aw I love this, what a sweet poem and gorgeous photo. I love watching them sleep. Partly because it’s the only time mine are quiet…

Hahaha! Thank you! Yes I agree – there’s the part of you that looks on proudly as your little ones snooze, but then there’s the other parts, one that either partying, whooping and cheering, or the one where you just switch off!! Thank you so much for your comment and apologies for me being so late to reply *smacks wrist in shame*! Steph xxxx

We are all guilty of this sometimes – but how long do we have them small enough to bring into our beds for a cuddle?! xxxxx

So lovely … words are so powerful in capturing moments … the feed the imagination in a way pictures can’t … they convey so much meaning … they are even more powerful with pictures.

Thanks for recording, capturing and sharing.

Glad I saw your tweet with this link 🙂

Oh thank you so much for such a beautiful comment – it really does mean so much to me. I’m not all that soppy or soft very often, as I think I hide behind a very jovial cover screen, but just sometimes it slips out – I’m glad you saw the tweet too!!! It’s such a fabulous linky isn’t it! (Though I’m totally behind so I apologise for this horrendously late reply!!) Steph xxx

What a lovely poem. I love sitting by my girls as they go to sleep. It’s such a special, calm moment in the day.
