Petit Fernand – Personalised Name Labels Review & Competition

I really can’t believe that in only four weeks’ time, my beautiful little girl will be starting big school!

Holly’s actually very excited at the prospect – it’s me who’s the wreck!

So, in order to try and get things organised I have been making sure to buy little bits here and there, as and when they’ve come into the stores, rather than doing what my husband does and waiting until the last minute and panic buying!

And one thing which will be a perfect help in me getting everything ready and organised will be to label up all of Holly’s new school clothes.

This is something that normally fills me with utter dread!

I’ve never been that great at sewing I’m afraid, and on those few occasions where I’ve really HAD to darn a hole, or stitch on a button I’ve found it so totally time consuming and fiddly that I tend now not to bother labelling things and just hope for the best that they won’t get lost!

Plus at nursery and pre-school things are slightly more in our favour, in that with that little bit more ‘one on one’ care, the nursery girls just seem to know who was wearing what and life was easy!

Now though – sending Holly off to a class of 30, where they all have exactly the same uniform, the same shoes, the same sports kits – I can really begin to realise how much of an issue this could be – especially with PE and all the children having to change on their own like big girls and boys!

Therefore, I jumped at the chance when asked by Petit-Fernand, to try out their lovely ‘iron-on’ name labels!

The French company specialise in personalised name labels where you can design your own labels.

The first step in the process was to log into their bright and cute website and select which type of labels you wanted.

I opted for the school pack for all the reasons above!

Next add all details as requested or prompted for and then it was on to the design – which I absolutely loved.

And to be honest – this took me ages as I tried out every design in every colour, with every font type and with a fair number of the really cute little mini icons. These are really very sweet and just add a little touch of personality to your little ones. And it’s even something you can get your child involved with too – to let them be a part of the whole fun but daunting ‘starting school’ experience.

Then it was on to the check out to pay.

How simple was that!

Then only 48 hrs later, my lovely pack of labels arrived! These are delivered by normal post, and come in a little booklet.

I really like this idea, as it was sort of like a stamp wallet, which can easily be filed away for future use. Holly was thrilled to see her little name next to the magic wand too!

Ironing the labels on..

It’s very straight forward to do, simply peel off the sticker you are after, place in correct spot and iron! But if you do get stuck, all the instructions can be found on the inside or your booklet.

The iron on labels are washing machine resistant up to 60 degrees and are tumble dryer safe, and the stick on labels are dishwasher and microwave resistant too!

Competition Time…..

So, now it’s your chance to grab yourself one of these fabulous packs in order to get you all organised for the forthcoming new school year too!

Petit Fernand have a £30 voucher ups for grabs and all you need to do is enter via the Rafflecopter link below.
