Holly and Grandpa – My Captured Moment

So, last week My Captured Moment was of my husband with Holly for a very precious Daddy and his Little Girl moment, so this week I’m going along the same lines but this time chosen a picture of Holly with MY daddy!!

Holly’s Grandpa!

I can remember the moment so well.

I’m not saying I’m a brilliant photographer or anything – and I’ve still so much to learn and make so many mistakes – but one thing I do love to do is ‘frame’ a photo.

So, when on a holiday in Lykia World,Turkey a couple of years ago, we took a little stroll around the fabulous lagoon pools of the children’s swimming area (seriously they were fantastic – a great holiday destination for families!) and found a pool which you could only get to via a little man-made cave. So I went into the cave and asked my dad and Holly to sit at the top for me.

Ok – so this time they’re well and truly posing for a photo – but the fact they both have their swim wear on makes it remain spontaneous to me.

Like I said – the picture itself isn’t perfect – I think I even took it on the iPad, so the quality isn’t even great, but the photo will be etched into my memories forever.

My Dad has four Grand-daughters in total, the youngest two girls from me and the older two from my sister – and I really don’t think he would have it any other way as he loves them all to pieces, dotes on them and spoils them rotten! And they love him back.

Its precious to me as two extremely important and prominently featured people from my life, who I love dearly. I love capturing moments of multiple family generations, as it shows how close we all are, and will remind me how lucky we are to have such a fabulous family.

And I will truly treasure this image for years to come as we all grow older.

I absolutely love your blog and find the majority of your post’s to be precisely
what I’m looking for. Does one offer guest writers to write
content available for you? I wouldn’t mind composing a post or elaborating on a
lot of the subjects you write concerning here. Again, awesome website!

Oh Jade, thank you so much. And I really would say to get as many photos as you can. I’m going through a horrible time at the moment, and we’re going to be losing a Grandparent soon, which is why this reply is so late. Treasure every moment you get. Steph xxx

My dad is exactly the same with my two and I just love watching them together. It reminds me of what an amazing dad he is and the fun we used to have when I was little. This is a gorgeous captured moment and very well framed! xxx

Ali – thank you so much. And so many apologies for the late response – things have been very hectic and tremendously hard for my family this last couple of months and I’m just getting my head round this whole blogging thing again. Your comment means such a lot. Steph xxx
