My Mummy!
It far too often goes unsaid, but I love my mum with all my heart!
And far too often I take her for granted too.
To me she is someone to confide in,
someone to share secrets with,
a shoulder to cry on,
a nurse to help me feel better
A comfort through sad times,
An opponent through the argumentative times,
A warm cuddle
An inner strength when i’m feeling weak;
She’s laughed with me through happy times,
and been an unbelievable help through the tougher times,
She is a friend to laugh with,
someone who always watches and worries over me.
An ally through it all;
A friend to have a cuppa with
A shopping partner,
Someone who gives me their honest opinion,
And someone to remind me to always be a good person;
With unconditional love throughout.
Overall she is my best friend.
And, as she has informed my sister and I, that in turn, we too will have the same feelings, worries and concerns for our own children.
Which is something that has brought us even closer.
She has been and always will be my rock.
She has helped me become who I am today and I am truly and forever grateful
And, as another quote very well states,
‘Mothers hold their children’s hands for a while but their hearts forever’
I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful relationship with my such a fabulous mum
And if I become half the person to my children that my mum is to me, I will be a very lucky girl indeed to have such love in a family.
